Maintaining an #AbundanceMindset - Dee Gautham

How many times have you had these scarcity based thoughts about food? Said things like I have to “load up” or “take advantage” or “go all out because it’s my cheat day”… and the ended up binging?

Truth is: Delicious food is everywhere.
.
And more food does not equal more happiness. Especially if it will make you feel sick.
.
Also, there’s a basic rule of life (and psychology): When you tell people they can’t have something they will want it more.🤷🏽‍♀️
.
Dieting and food restriction will create false scarcity around food, causing you to crave the foods that are off limits, making you want to rebel – and then binge or overeat.
.
(Plussss If you grew up Asian it’s likely been ingrained in you from a young age that you have to finish your plate, you can’t waste food – Food is scarce).
.
It will take time to un-learn that.
.
But if you shift into an abundance mindset, and a more flexible or intuitive approach? 👉 There’s zero fear. You’re able to make decisions from a place of what will make you FEEL best.
.
Delicious food is everywhere. Your body will no longer see it as “off limits” and you’ll be able to think rationally. Is this something I actually want? Is this going to make me feel good?
.
You will take back power over food by prioritize how you FEEL above all else.
.
As you head into holiday parties this week OBSERVE the sensations going though your head – are you eating out of false scarcity or abundance?
